The redevelopment of Elephant and Castle is an ambitious programme
of change that will culminate in one of the largest regeneration programmes
ever seen in Europe.  Yet, the current space will be lost forever. This project
is a tribute to Elephant & Castle as it stands today.

Writing systems and languages evolve to assist the changing needs
of societies. This book takes you on a journey from the time of hieroglyphics
to the present, dominant Latin script. Future challenges are also represented
in its pages; as technology and cultural influences continue to impact
the evolution of language.
