ECHOÍSTA began with a word I couldn’t stop thinking about: echoist.
I learned that it described someone who can become so accustomed to putting others’ needs first that her own needs and voice become quieter. I knew people like that. I loved people like that. And, in different ways, I recognized how easily many of us can do it.
But caring deeply for others was never the problem.
The idea behind ECHOÍSTA is not to care less. It is to remember that you belong inside the circle of your own care.
Keep the care. Expand the circle.
That simple thought became the heart of ECHOÍSTA.
We believe self-care should not ask you to become someone else. Beauty should not depend on chasing an impossible version of yourself, and you should never be made to believe you must alter yourself in order to remain beautiful.
Instead, we create for the person already here.
Our approach to formulation follows the same philosophy: thoughtful rather than excessive, purposeful rather than fashionable. We value botanicals for what they genuinely offer and modern cosmetic science for what it can meaningfully do.
